BatsQld members are permitted by the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) to care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife and are bound by the following state policies:

- Bats QLD Code_of_practice – Care of Sick, Injured or Orphaned Protected Animals in Queensland – v.2013
